This "X" version is the 2019 update to the Strike Force HD Pro.
Browning has mainly improved the speed of the circuit, making this camera one of the fastest on the market today, especially in the recovery speeds. The trigger speed is only 0.22 sec and a recovery of 0.6 sec which is one of the fastest of all photo trapping cameras.
The resolution has been increased to 20 mpx, and the videosize has also been increased to HD+ (1600×900).
The detection field of the sensor is wider, reaching almost 25 m and the night illumination is more powerful, reaching more than 30 m.
This model uses conventional infrared light LEDs(the LEDs glow), but they achieve much better image quality than the black light version (Dark Ops HD Pro X). The new type of LEDs (there are only 4 larger and more powerful LEDs) increases the intensity of illumination but with less energy consumption, which is noticeable in the longer battery life.
It has a new system for regulating the type of lighting (Power safe, long range, fast motion) that allows you to increase or reduce the power and also conserve battery power, in addition to achieving a better intensity of illumination. It also has a new Illuma-smart system that adjusts the infrared light to get the best night photos.
The Browning are the best wildlife tracking cameras as they have one of the best electronic circuits, with a very high trigger speed and minimum recovery time, being able to chain numerous captures, if necessary, without failing to record anything that passes in front of the camera. This camera, for its features, should be in the higher price bracket, around 300.00 euros. There are other much more expensive cameras that don't even come close to its features.
The quality of the images is one of the best we have seen, with vivid colors, and well contrasted during the day and during the night it manages to illuminate perfectly up to 30 meters. The detection and illumination fields are perfectly framed with the optical field of the camera, which reduces "empty" photos, in which no animal appears.
The design of this camera is perfect, with a very effective camouflage. The new type of LED reduces the typical glare of the front glass when the sun shines on it, which in other cameras makes them more visible in the field.
The programming is easy to use and has a very low battery consumption, which allows it to remain operational for more than 12 months with only six batteries. (Calculated with lithium batteries and about 70 photos per day).
It includes a new rear anchor design that allows, once placed in a tree, to comfortably orient the camera up and down.
