Description
The new line of Bushnell Core DS (Dual Sensor) cameras joins the trend of the dual lens, one sensor used for day and one for night, initiated by the Browning XD series. This results in sharper and better illuminated photos, as each image sensor is prepared for each type of illumination (daylight or infrared light).
Also like Browning, it is beginning to use larger LEDs, which reduces consumption while providing greater lighting power.
This set of improvements, and the “low glow” type of illumination, (the LEDs DO glow), makes for some of the best night photos and videos currently available. The images are contrasted, defined and the illumination is very deep. In the “Core DS no-glow” model the illumination is a little less powerful, which is a generalized effect in all “no-glow” models (the LEDs do not glow).
The speed of the electronic circuitry is one of the best we have seen. The shutter speed of only 0.2 sec and the recovery time of 0.6 mean that this camera does not miss any detail of anything that moves in front of it.
