This “Elite” version is the 2021 upgrade of the Specs Ops Edge.
Most of the features are similar to the previous “Edge” model, although the image and video quality is improved. This camera is highly recommended for those most interested in making video, as they are of the highest quality available, with Full HD (1920×1080 p) at 30 or 60 frames per second. In fact this “Elite” model is probably the best video quality Browning no glow light model of all time.
Daytime photos are very sharp, clean and at night contrasted and without blur. The maximum resolution is 22 mpx.
Browning cameras are noted for the incredible speed of the circuit and in this model they have improved it to only 0.1 sec and a recovery of 0.5 sec which is one of the fastest of all photo trapping cameras.
It has a timetable system to determine the daily time slot in which the camera will be operative.
The detection field of the sensor is very wide and adjustable, reaching more than 27m. The night illumination is very powerful, reaching more than 25 m. This model uses no-glow infrared LEDs (the LEDs do NOT glow).
It has a new lighting dimming system with three options (power safe, long range and fast motion) that allows to increase or reduce the power and also to conserve battery power, as well as to achieve a better lighting intensity. The power safe option illuminates with lower power and saves battery power, e.g. in close lighting situations. It also features a new Illuma-smart system that adjusts the infrared light for the best night shots.
The programming is easy to use and has an incredibly low battery consumption, which allows it to remain operational for more than 36 months on only eight batteries (calculated with lithium batteries and about 70 photos per day).
