Description
Scoutguard cameras have been revolutionary in photo trapping, due to their reliability, simple operation, long battery life and low price, but above all for their small size. Bolymedia is the manufacturer.
This model was discontinued but there have been many requests from customers asking the manufacturer to bring it back into its catalog. It has now been updated with new features, such as dual lighting (no-glow light or visible white light) that can be selected according to preference.
This camera is perhaps the smallest we have ever seen, at only 10 cm high and 7.6 cm wide, which allows for good concealment in the field.
It is powered by four conventional batteries, preferably alkaline, as rechargeable batteries will not provide sufficient power.
The camera has been simplified to achieve a very competitive price, but with the reliability of the Scoutguard electronics. The display and control buttons are located on the front of the camera and inside the camera only the batteries and SD memory are accessible.
However, even though it is small, it has the power of other cameras. With 37 megapixels and 4K video with audio and a shutter speed of only 0.7 seconds, it is a camera that has nothing to envy to other higher priced models.
Its powerful sensor has a range of 30 meters and its No-Glow light LEDs also reach almost 30 meters.
